The charity is affiliated to the Good Neigbhours
Network (GNN) enabling sharing of ideas and best
practice. In addition the charity is able to use GNN’s

objectives of the charity|Alton Community Care (ACC) is established for the
purpose of benefiting the community in Alton, and
surrounding district in Hampshire. Volunteer members
provide transport to medical and medically related

activities undertaken in
relation of the objectives.|During the year the charity’s approximately 50
volunteer drivers transported people to hospital
appointments, doctors surgeries, dental appointments
and visits to sick relatives. Over the year
approximately 80,000 miles were driven mainly to
destinations in Hampshire and Surrey with occasional
drives to Salisbury, Oxford and London.
The trustees are grateful for the many hours that our
member volunteer drivers and coordinators have
spent on the charity’s activities.| ## **Financial Review** The main source of funding is donations made by those using our services. The charity makes no charge for transporting people and transportation is not contingent on a donation. The main expense of the charity is the cost of journeys. Volunteer drivers use their own vehicles for transport and are reimbured their costs at a rate not exceeding the HMRC Approved Mileage Rate. The charity incurred a deficit of £11,630 in the year ended 31[st] March 2026. The charity’s reserves at 31[st] March 2026 were £37,136. The charity’s policy is to maintain reserves of at least £10,000 to cover unforseen expenses and capital expenditure. ## **Declaration** The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees’ report above.
