Activities

The society was founded in 1982 to promote friendship between the UK and the republics of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Belize. It organises lectures, social events, and fundraising events in collaboration with the embassies and sometimes with other charities. It also has a programme of small donations for charitable projects in the region.

Objects: (1) To Advance The Education Of The People Of Great Britain About Central America, And Of Central America About Great Britain, About Their Respective People, Language, Institution And History And Traditions And Their Intellectual, Artistic And Economic Life.the Member Countries Shall Be: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama And The Dominican Republic(2)to Relieve Persons, Whether Or Not They Are Resident Or Temporarily Located In The Member Central American Countries But In Particular Citizens Of The Member Central American Countries Who Are In Conditions Of Need, Hardship, Or Distress As A Result Of Local, National, Or International Disaster Or By Reason Of Their Social And Economic Circumstances.
