|A very successful year that saw events and fundraising<br>and donations<br>bringing<br>in an income ofE47,035.<br>Grants and donations<br>made for the benefit ofthe school and its pupils amounted<br>toE49373.After<br>direct expenditure<br>and admin costs there is a deficit for the year ofE15,770.The reason for this<br>significant<br>deficit isthat the Fiends had been raising money to overhaul<br>the School's playground<br>(project playground)<br>in previous years, and this year we have carried out the works and used some of||
|the funds saved for this purpose. It isexpected that works will continue next year.||
|Most funds were raised through<br>the organisations<br>ofenjoyable events such as winter<br>Fair, Quiz Night<br>and International<br>Evening, as well as the Triathlon.<br>This is in addition to general donations,<br>planned||
|giving through<br>Gift Aid and the support of local businesses.||
|The Friends continue toattract active members,<br>adding to the strong sense ofcommunity<br>within|the|
|school and the partnership<br>between staff and parents. This partnership<br>being clearly demonstrated<br>in<br>numbers ofparent volunteers<br>who help the School in such a variety ofways by assisting<br>in the||
|classroom,<br>helping with events and school trips, through to bringing their specialist skills to support the||
|School in specific tasks.||
