Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of The Emmbrook Village Hall. I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31 st March 2025, which a￿ set out on pages I to 3. Respective reswbn$ibilities of trustees and examiner As Ihe charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts- you consider that the audil requiremen¢ of section 43{2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Aci) docs not apply. It is my responsibility to state, on the basis of procedures specified in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners under section 43 (7)(Ib) of the Act, whether particular matters have come lo my attention. Basis of independent examiner's report My examination was carried out in accordance with ihe General Directions given by the Chariiy Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting record8 kept by the chariiy and a comparison of the accounts presented wilh those records. It also includes ¢on5ideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, 2nd seeking explanations from you as trustees conceming any such mat(ers. The procedures undertaken do not provid¢ all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. EMMBROOK VILLAGE HALL TRUSTEE ANNUAL REPORT YEAR ENDING 31 Match 2025 CHARITY COMMISSION REGISTRATION 274662 We have had a very busy year with booking in the hall Ca ital Reserve Ex endlture 1. Franklin Contracts Ltd (Asbestos survey) 2. Alamo Blinds . (new rails for all our curtains) 3.TCD Direct Ltd (new fridge). 4.Newman New fence 5. Tom Keeler (new fans) Revenue Account. Income We now have 21 regular users we lost Morris dancer and gained Dance Fit and Indian dance lessons. Regular user income was £21452.82 .This is up on last year by £1792.00. Casual users income was £6412.63. This is up on last year by £3057.00 included in this is £1531.25 in deposit and adVan￿d bookings. Interest Rates We have £48191.17.in an account with Cambridge and Counties Bank. This is a 95 day Notice Business account now paying 4.5°/o. Interest is paid annually at the end of April. Interest we received this year was £1533.05 enditure Rubbish collectlon are up because of an increase in cost and casual users leave more rubbish. Electrici and Gas cost our up because we had a 4 year contract that ended in September 2024. We can expect higher cost in both of these next year. Insurance when down. Fire extin uisher costs are up because we had to replace an extinguisher afler 10 year. Piano we had 2 repairs this year. Internet We no longer have a telephone number. We now pay intemet cost to Chairperson and treasurer £15.00 a month and booking clerk £10 per month are paid to use their own phone, internet and computers. We had a web site set up costs and we pay £111.55 per year for the web site. Cleanin cost Our cleaning cost are £5234.98 this l up £1000.00 on last year. We now have the hall cleaned every day and extra cleaning once a week in kitchen and toilets. Mr Kelly was not good at sending us invoices. Which has now changed and he has agree thal we pay him monthly £282 x 12 months which is £3,384.00 a year. That is £9.00 a morning Monday to Friday and £10.00 for Saturday and Sundays £65.00 a week which I think you must agree is good value. Premises Maintenance Was up this year mainly because we spent £394 on have the windows catches repaired and Gressgarden pruned our trees £432.00 PPL PRS Llcence This year we had to pay £251.41

Rates of Hire The C.P.l in July was 2.20/0 so our hire rates in January were increased by small amount. We also simplified our rates of hire to 2 categories Local regular non-profit and Casual users and commercial users. This we did to make it easy for people using our web site to work out the cost. We are holding £900.00 in deposits because most casual bookers pay their deposit by bank Iransfer. We have also got £1,067.15 renl paid in advance this year. We had a very good year and are in a good financial position. I would like to thanks Mr Brockbank for auditing our accounts. He has agree to do it again next year.
