The Trustees present their Annual Report for the year ended S April 2024.
1. The Orrin Charitable TNSC *+hich is registered in the Register of Charitles under number
274599, was estsblIsh￿ by Mr A J Macdonald-Buchanan under a D8ed dated 3 May 1977.
The assets derive malnty from the Settlor, an annual grant of £37,500 {2023." £25,000) has
been received from the Macdonald-Buchanan Charitable Trust.
2. The address of the Trust is 1 College Hill. London EC4R 2RA.
3. The ￿rrent seniorTrustee Is Mr Hugh Macxlonald-Buchanan. afong ￿th Mr James Maodonald-
8uch8nan and Mr Aèxander Macdonakl-Buchanan. Mr Nicholas Macdonahd-Buchanan was
reappointed on 19 December 2023.
4. The Trust's stockbrokers are UBS W8alth Management,. its bgnkers are CAF Bank.
5. The investment powers available to ts Truste88. now regulated by the Trustee Act 201)O. are
restrlcted onty by the requirement that appropriate advice be laken and proper care applied.
e. The Trust was establlshed for general chathable purposes. In practic* the income, after
allowng for expenses, is di8tribLrted amoTrJ a wNde variety of active Charitable org8nis8tlons
spread throughout the United Kingdom and, very rarely. abroad, The Trustees ￿nfiM that they
have had regard to the guidance on public benefrt issuéd by tha Charlty Commlsslon when
consld8rlng objectives and activities of the Trust.
7. To thls 8nd, the Trustees meet from tlme to tlme lo cy)nsld8r appllcatlons and to declde where
grants shall b8 made.
8. In the year ended 5 April 2024, the Tr￿$ incom8 amounted to £68,782 (2023.. £50, 126).
During the year total grants of £59,000 (2023: £5,000) were awarded, of which grants over

Respeetlve responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are rwonsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with
the requirements of the Charities Act 20 I l. The charity's tTUStces consider thai an 41udil is not
required for this year under section 144(2) of the Chariti&8 Acl 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that
an independent examination is need￿. It is my responsibility to examine the acc4)unts under
section 145 of the 2011 Act. to follow the procaures laid down in the General Directions
given by the Ch￿ty Commission undcr section 145(5Xb) of the 2011 ACL and to ststc
whether particular maiters have come to rny attenrion.
Basis of indepelldenl exanthier's report
My examination w&8 carricd out in accordance with Genernl Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of thc accounting reLords kept by the charity
and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration
ofany unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as
truste¢s Loncerning any.8uch rnaltcrs. The procedures undertakcn do not provide all the
evidence that would be requir&1 in an audit, and conscquently no opinion is given &5 to
whether the acwunts present a'lru¢ and fair view" and the rq)ort is limita to those matters
set out in the statement below.
