## **The objects of the charity are:** 

1. To advance the education of young members of the public at large in their knowledge of agriculture, crafts, life skills, rural affairs and country life,

In the interests of the social welfare of such members to provide and promote the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupations, being facilities which will improve their conditions of life and will assist in the development of their spiritual and mental capacities, self-reliance and individual responsibility so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of the community.

The Trustees confirm that they have paid due regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit in deciding what activities the charity should undertake. 

The charity recruits its members from a significant section of the community at large.  Everyone aged 10 to 26 year can be a member of the North Somerset Young Farmers Club in order to participate in activities and discussions that increase their knowledge of agriculture, crafts rural affairs and country life.  The charity actively recruits its members, aged 10 to 28 years, from a catchment area of 15 miles of Regilbury.

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

Over the past year, North Somerset YFC has delivered a wellrounded and engaging programme that has supported members’ learning, leisure, and personal development while strengthening ties with the wider community. Highlights included educational visits to both dairy and arable farms, giving members valuable insight into modern agriculture and rural life. Successful fundraising events such as **Shite Shirts** and a **Tractor Run** raised money for our chosen charities and to benefit the members of the club, showcasing our energy, teamwork, and community spirit. Through a mix of hands-on activities, social events, and skillbuilding opportunities, members have developed confidence, practical knowledge, and a deeper understanding of environmental responsibility, while also helping promote public awareness of farming, crafts, life skills, and rural affairs.
