Portesbery Partnerships

Trustees Report for Financial Year Ending April 2025

Over the period April 2024 – March 2025, the Charity has successfully raised money for the main recipient of the charity, the students at Portesbery School. It has also successfully run Little Portesberries, the pre-school for children with SEN.

Over the year, fundraising has come from the activities of the PTA and donations from parents and corporate trusts. The PTA raised over £5.4k from running successful summer and Christmas Fairs and raffles and over £24,000 came from other sundry and charitable donations. The Knights Foundation donated the required funds to keep Little Portesberries running. We have spent funds on class trips, class activities, the singing hands show, music therapy and other therapies for students, and £5,000 for an eye gaze machine.

At the end of the period, the current trustees decided to step down to turn the charity into a more formal PTFA, under the umbrella of Parentkind. This is partly to give the charity sustainability over the longer term as the school potentially transitions into an academy trust.

**Independent** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or

- • the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
