Annual Report for the financial year ending 31[st] March 2022
The Trustees of Portesbery Partnerships present their annual report and audited accounts for the financial year ended March 2022 and confirm that they comply with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011, the charity terms of reference and constitution.
Objectives
The charity’s objectives are to enhance the experiences of our students by working in partnership with families and other organisations to provide additional opportunities and resources outside of the core offer education funded by the Local Authority.
Structure
The Charity is managed by the trustees who are all members of the school staff:-
Chairperson (Nathan Aspinall) Secretary (Kirsty Hodge) Treasurer (Debbie Attard) Trustee (Sam Leach ) Trustee (Clare Walker) Trustee (Cathryn Hopkinson)
The Charity uses the services of an external fundraiser who charges a commission based fee for all funds raised.
The school has a Friends of Portesbery group (instead of an official PTA) which comes under the umbrella of Portesbery Partnerships. The group run annual events such as a Summer Fun Day, Quiz Night

and Christmas Fair to raise funds for the charity, although these were mostly cancelled during 2021-22 due to covid.
Review of Activities and Achievements during financial year 202122
The charity has managed to purchase several new items for the benefit of the students over the past year, funded by a variety of activities.
These include:-

Hairdressing equipment and resource boxes to build student tolerance and confidence in attending these essential appointments.

Scooters and bike helmets to add to our outdoor equipment

Development of our memorial garden, with dedicated benches, plaques and planting

Outside play areas and equipment for our Early Years and Complex needs classes

Horticultural area, landscaping and planting

Outdoor gym equipment for our primary department

Outdoor learning equipment for the whole school

Future Events
We have opened up the school for some enrichment events with families this term and are hoping to reinstate our previous community fundraising events such as the Christmas Fair and Quiz night in the Autumn term.
