**ASSETS AND  LIABILITIES As  at  28  February 2023** 

## **ASSETS** 

**Cash** The  Society’s  cash  balances at  the  bank  were £50,023 ~~-(~~ 2022: £26,236).  Of this  amount, £15,605 was  held  on  deposit account and  £34,418 was  held  on  current account. 

- **Debtors** Prepayments and  other debtors at  the  end  of the  year  were £672  (2022:  £572). 

- **Stocks** The  Society  holds  stocks of its  own  and  other publishers’ books,  pamphlets, postcards, and  DVDs  for  sale.  These stocks are  assets,  sales  of which  will be  of benefit  to  future years’ receipts. 

- **Fixed Assets** The  Society  possesses various equipment and  furniture, however, no  value  is attributed to  these items in the accounts. 

- **Archive** Documents in the  Society’s  archives have  been acquired as  a permanent resource and  are  held  within  the  collecting policy of the  Society. 

## **LIABILITIES** 

**Current** The  Society  had  liabilities  at  the  year- end  of £220  (2022: £206).  The  Society had  a  financial  commitment at  28  February 2023  of £2,522 (2022-  £2,657)  in connection with  the  printing of the  annual _Bulletin._ 

**Continge n t** The  Society  has  an  obligation to  send newsletters, the _Bulletin_ , and  one  copy  of all new  HHS  publications to  each Life  member. There were 44  Life  members at  28  February 2023.
