LWPA Annual General Meeting

Louise Butler joined the meeting briefly to let us know that she is going to be stepping back from the LWPA due to other commitments. Sarah thanked her for her work.

## 2. **Accounts for 2023-24**
Sarah Bradford has completed the annual accounts which were shared with the meeting (please see Appendix A).
There was a significant one off donation last year from the Joyce Chapman Foundation of £65000 which was given initially some time ago but the money has now come into the LWPA account. This money has been/is to be spent on supporting the mental well-being of children in the school. Many thanks to the Joyce Chapman Foundation.
## 3. **Annual report**
Last year we were able to purchase many items to benefit all of the students at both the Upper and Lower School sites.
We have provided funds requested by each Faculty which have included:
- workshops for Computing, English and History;
- laptops for Art and Foreign Languages;
- specialist equipment for Creative Media, Geography field work, Science, Food technology and DT;
- online resources for Maths;
- a high jump mat for PE.
After consulting the Student Council, we have also funded water fountains, outdoor chess tables and footballs for use at lunchtime.
We ran these events:
- Chocolate tombola in Thame Town Centre
- Christmas raffle online
- Thame Wellbeing event
- LWPA Quiz at The Spread Eagle (with Raffle)
- Silent Auction in Summer
Helped to promote/participated in these events:
- Thame Roundtable Santa Sleigh
- Thame Roundtable Duck Race
● Thame 10K
We also raised money from:
- Your School Lottery
- Easy Fundraising
- Astra recycling
- Benevity match funding
- Chinnor Open Gardens Scheme

## **NOTES:**
- _**2023-24 was a fabulous year, raising just over £24k in total, only slightly less than the previous year. In addition we received a huge donation of £65k from the Joyce Chapman Trust. - We raised £7.4k from events (£2.4k more than last year), £1.3k from online fundraisers (£200 more than last year) and £6.6k from Match Funding (£1.7k more than last year)**_
- _**Your School Lottery made only slightly less than last year, but continues to make a significant amount of money with little effort!**_
- _**Astra Recycling, our new venture last year, made a healthy £800 this year (£300 more than last year). Hopefully this will continue to grow in future years**_
- _**All this brilliant fundraising allowed us to give the school over £19k this year, in addition to the**_
