As a member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance. the Pre-school follows Its publlcation guldellnes.
The prlnclpal actlvlty of the trust is the provbsion of Pre-school Pre-school activitles.
Devon Close Pre-school rewstered in 1998 and is located in the south of the b)rough. We are situated in
very low-lncome area and is listed as a high deprlvation nei8hbourhood. The preschool 15 managed by a
voluntary parent committee and we are also a ￿lStered charity.
We Supply affordable chlldcare to families that are In low-lncome Jobs. on benefits or tralnlng to better
themselves either at college or within an apprenticeship. We offer vital, affordable childcare to a wide
range of families within our communlty.
We provide funded places for both universal 15 hours and the extended 30 hours for working parents. We
also offer funded places on the Haringey 2-year-old funded scheme. We can provide sesslons for children
that a￿ not funded where parents can pay for a session providing them with respite time.
We recently signed a new l(kyear lease with Haringey council arNI are looking forward to continuing to
support local famllies.
We have a large outside area giving children a new safe environment to expk)re and develop In whlle
attending the setting. We are immensely proud of this area as 81% of our attending children and families
do rH)t have access to an outside area at home.

We work closety with the local food bank and Felix projert to ensure all our families have ac￿5$ to
healthy food.
We have 6 fully qualified childcare staff to care for the children at our settin8 and support personal
development of all our staff. Our staff re￿1ve training in supporting mental health and SEND need
for early identification in communication and lan8uage. We are govemed by Of5ted and have
GOOD rating from our last inspettlon.
All staff have paediatric first aid. safeeuarding and health and safety training. All staff have unique
and trained skills. as well as experience that makes our setting an amazing place for children to learn
and develop and families to feel safe and confident to leave, their childcare in our care.
PLANS FOR THE FUTURE
At Devon Close preschool we will continue to ensure a safe. supportlve environment for all families
for children to develop and learn new skills. As a p￿SChool team we a￿ detern)ined to continue to
develop our skllls in mentsl health and well-belng for everyone involved. i￿luding staff, committee
and settln8 Users.
Organlsatlon and Management
The charlty Is managed by a Management Committee which would nornially meet regularly, to
ensure that the Pre-school complles wlth Its aims and is propeth managed. The Committee
Members are nomially elerted at the Annual General Meetin8 and are able to stand for rfrelection
for an unllmlted period.
Trustee Responslbllltles
The Charities Act 2011 requires the trustees to prepare financial ststements each year in accordance
wlth the current regulations. The trustees a￿ ￿ponSIble for keepin8 proper accounting records,
whlch dlsclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the year. They are also
responsible for safeguardin8 the assets of the trust and hence for taking reasonable steps for the
prevention and detertion of fraud and other Irregularrties.
Flnan¢lal Revlew
The accounts have been p￿pared on a receipts and payments basls in accordance with the Charities
Act 2011. Therefore. the surplus shown on the Income and Expenditure Attount of £25.847
does not take account of any liabilities that may be owed by the Pre-school or amounts due to the
Pre-school at the period end. The surplu5 is in in line with the expectations of the Trustees.
The Pre-school continues to be run on a not for profft basls. with any surplus to be ploughed back to
pay for running costs and resources.
