To promote the study, recording and research of local history and to publish the Society's findings and other material of local historical interest/
Objects: The Advancement Of Public Education And In Furtherance Of This Object The Society Shall: (1) Promote The Study And Recording Of The History Or The Area In All Its Aspects. (2) Foster Interest In Research And Field Work. (3) Publish From Time To Time The Findings Of The Society Or Any Member, Or Any Other Material Aiding The Attainment Of These Objects. (4) Acquire, Preserve, Borrow And Display, Where Appropriate, Archives, Artefacts And Other Objects For Educational Purposes Or The Interest Of The Public.
