To provide or assist in provision of facilities to encourage visually impaired people to participate in the sport of bowls, indoor and outdoor. To encourage other visually impaired people to try the game of bowls. Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document To organise Bowls Tournaments for visually impaired bowlers and ensure that all facilities and equipment are provided to meet with health and safety requirements. All Committee members are volunteers and give their time freely.

Many visually impaired bowlers require Directors to assist them, these Directors also give their services on a voluntary basis.

During Tournaments we rely on the support of volunteers, from organisations such as Lions, to provide callers and markers. The Umpires Association also provide official umpires on a voluntary basis.

Section D Achievements and performance

During 2022 the Committee, together with the England Team Manager, Summary of the main were responsible for the selection of England Teams to participate in The achievements of the charity UK Indoor Nationals and The International Blind Bowls Association World during the year Championships to be held in Australia in March 2023.

This included the booking of accommodation and air tickets for a party of 26 bowlers, directors and management.

We also organised 2 indoor and 2 outdoor Tournaments throughout the year.

The Charity main income comes from fundraising, ie raffles held at Tournaments and donations from Bowls Clubs and individuals. Many Clubs hold fundraisers on VIBE’s behalf such as ‘spiders’.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/12/2022. Responsibilities and As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the basis of report accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
