## Spixworth Parish Council as Trustee of Village Hall and Playing Fields Chairman’s Report 2022-23 While private hire has dropped slightly since the previous year regular hire bookings have increased. This is due to many other local halls remaining closed after the pandemic but have now started to open up again. Spixworth Village Hall has 24 regular hirers that use the hall and playing field for various classes and groups throughout the week. There has been various repair work carried out on the village hall over the last year, with the building now being over 50 years old quite a lot of maintenance and improvement work is needed. The Village Hall Car Park has now been re-surfaced with new lining and instillation of a new drainage system which will stop the car park from flooding during heavy rain fall. The hall now has an Administration Officer to carry out administrative duties for the Village Hall. The Village Hall Management Committee Meetings started up again in January 2023, the committee is made up of local Spixworth groups that hire the hall. We hope that going forward the Village Hall Management Committee can start holding fundraising events to raise money for the Village Hall.
