The Society aims to fosterth¢ public's knowl¢d8¢4nd appre¢iatiortof music,
p&nicularly ¢horal music, by lh¢ study. practice and public wformance of
such musi¢. In furtherance of these aims. the Society rehearses from
September io July and usually stages 4 or 5 concens each se&8on for which
it engages professional soloists and orch¢stral playe￿. M¢mbets of the
So¢i¢ty psy an annual subscription fixed at the Annual Genernl Meding and
social events are held during the year foT Members and friends to help raise
some additional lund5.

disaprointing io ￿ve to cancel the Christmas concert ai the lam minu
because of Covid, bui soire¢ went ¥h¢ad and wenl well despite
Absence of the buffei. Haythi's Cr￿]0￿ in M4y w•s excitsng as was the
Rossini in July. even though two soloists down with Covid at tk1&5t
inute (though ticket sales continued to ￿ disapwifttin81.
I must extend hug¢ thanks to Tim arKI Steven for their ext*rtise and skills
that are so crucial to th¢ ¢hoir. Thank5 a]so to a]1 the commit*e and
volunteers who contribute so much in so many way5. many lo 5ingl¢ out
individually. I must also mention grwit of a (kn￿88nd N)und% th* Bob
K¢Ur￿ for u5 from BrentWOLKI Arts Council.

Last Saturday and Sea Symphony at c￿lms[0rd Cathedral was wonderful.
Ith a larger audierKe than we bad expectr( and 50mc very welcome
swnsorship of soloists and 0￿heSt￿ Thanks to all WIK) contnbutsj in this
way. The efforts ott the publi¢Tty frolrt obviously p￿d off.
L￿kIng to the future. Marina 15 working on developing our websitr and
there will be another newsletter on its way. On th¢ wial fronl wc had one
enjoyable and successful quiz nighL I￿1 w¢ n¢¢d MO￿ xKial events and
other fund￿.51￿8 activities. Ticket sale& &8 ¢v¢r. are vital and we need to
recruit more members. Ple￿ trll your friends aiKTrut ourcome and Sing day
on February 25 encourage tlvn to comc along.
Finally. last year w•sa great pleasure to me and I much enjoyed. Thanks
