REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 AUGUST 2024
The Irustees present their report and financial slalemenls for the year
ended 31 August 2024.
The financial statements hove been prepared in accordance wilh the
accounting policies set oul in note I to the linancial stotements and
comply with Ihe chorily's governing document, Ihe Charilie5 Acl 2011 ond
"Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended
Practice applicable to charilie5 preparing Iheir occounts in accordance
with the Finonciol Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic
of Ireland IFRS1021 effeclive l January 20191.
Objeclives and actlvltles
l. Advance the educotion of young members of the public at large, in
agriculture, home crafts, country life and related subjects.,
2. In the interest of social welfare of such members to provide and
promote the provision of facilities which will improve their recreation
and olher leisure limes occupations, being facililies which will
improve Iheir conditions of life and wll assist in Ihe development of
Ih'eir spiritual, mental capacities. self reliance and individual
responsibililies so thal they wll grow lo full molurity as individuals
ond members of the commvnity.
3. Our club is one of 38 clubs affiliated to the Devon Federotion of
Young Farmers Club's.

Main achievements in year
Raising finance and awareness of charilable courses in the mosl socially
fulfilling methods possible for our members as well as providing said
members with opportunitie5 to engage in compelilion, sports and a wide
ronge of social events. We complete fhe year wilh our AGM and
celebration to thank the members. advisory and their associates for their
help and goodwill.
Any surplus funds that ore unrestricled are retained to cover any
unforeseen expenditure.
The survival and sustainability of Ihe charity is a primary factor in Ihe
allocation of funds and the trustees reserve Ihe right lo allocate funds
however they see reasonable to ensure that the charity remains
operational.
The trustees have a responsibility to idenlify and review the risks lo which
Ihe charity is exposed and to ensvre thot appropriate controls are in
place lo provide recsonoble assurance ogainst froud and error.

FRS102. have been prepared in accordance wilh the Charities SORP IFRS1021
"Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Stotement of recommended
Practice applicoble to chorilie5 preparing their accounts in accordonce with
the Financial Reporting Standard applicable to the UK cnd Republic of
Ireland IFRS1021, Financial Reporting standard102 'The Financial Reporting
standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Irelond" and the Chorities Act
2011. The financial stalemenls have been prepored under the hi51orical cost
convention.
1.2 Income
All income is recognised in the Slalement of Financial Activities once the
charily has enlillement lo the funds, it is probable thot the income will be
received and the amount can be recognised reliably.
1.3 Expendllure
Liabilitie5 are recognised os expenditure as soon os there is o legal or
constructive obligation committing Ihe charity to that expenditure, it is
Probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in selllemenl
ond the omounl of the obligation con be measured reliably. Expenditure is
accounted for on an occrvals basis and has been clossified under heodings
that oggregate all cost reloled lo thal calegory.
