Venner, La Viraillot, Le Clos des Charmes, 24520, Lamonzie-Montastruc, France _______________________________ ## **BIBTF Trustees’ Report of Activities during 2022** ## **Structure & Governance** The Fellowship is founded upon a Constitution adopted on 1 December 1974 and last amended on 29 April 1995. This sets out any limits on its activities and investments. One third of the Trustees retire each year but can stand for re-election and they are elected by the Membership. We affirm and declare that the British Israel Bible Truth Fellowship was established for the widest possible public benefit and resolve that it shall continue to work as a force for good in national life, by providing _Bible_ Truth magazine, other literature and public meetings for free. **Risk Assessment** is part of the Trustees’ responsibility and their policy is updated annually. **Financial & Reserves Policy** - The only acceptable principle governing the BIBTF’s policy on holding reserves for the future, as well as our financial practice, is Biblical authority and example as described more fully in the paper presented to the Trustees dated 21 September 2002. **The Fellowship’s Objective** is the advancement of Christian Religion by teaching the Counsel of God as revealed in the Bible. In particular this is by demonstrating that the Anglo-Saxon-Celtic peoples are descended from the biblical House of Israel and part of the House of Judah. The following items give an indication of how this objective has been met in the last year. **We praise God for being able to present this our 48th Annual Report** . Last year we said that activities were hampered by the consequences of the Covid virus, but we are pleased to report that we are now making good progress in restoring our original activities. In addition to this, encouraging new ways to fulfill our calling are arising. **The Trustees** . During the year we bade farewell to Andrew Newby who has given us valued service for thirty-three years particularly in areas of outreach to younger people. After the AGM he was replaced by Mrs Lynn Phillips who brings with her a host of commercial experience. **Total Membership** numbers are sadly continuing to fall partly due to people passing away but also reflecting the huge challenge we face of younger generations being reluctant to commit themselves to membership and things of a Christian nature. Just as last year there were bright spots so in this year we were encouraged to welcome some new people. **Public Meetings.** After a gap of a couple of years, both our London meetings ran successfully this year with a fair turnout of people including newcomers who were attracted by the publicity we displayed outside the venue. Both Gravesend and Brixham are not yet in a position to hold public meetings though contacts with previous attendees continue to be fostered. It is good to report that the regular monthly meetings at Durham have resumed. In spite of many hardships the Word of Life Ministries branch we support in Kenya continues with vigour as evangelists in training, young people’s school and the centres of mission beyond Meru in the north grew. We continue to equip these with booklets and _Bible Truth_ magazine. **Booklet and Recordings distribution** was steady but we acknowledge that there is scope to increase this ministry. At least a couple of our supporters regularly distribute hundreds magazines and booklets to people where they can and we look forward to further growth in this area **. The Bulletin** one page sheet e-mailed to hundreds of our supporters around the world each month is gaining momentum as readers copy it up and send it on to others. Though it began when the Covid virus took hold a few years ago it has developed into a fact sheet picking up other issues around the world. The quantity of feedback from readers of how they are using it to make people aware of national issues and bring them to knowledge of biblical truths is quite amazing. It is truly wonderful how God is blessing their endeavours to this end. **The BIBTF Website** continues its outreach as in recent years and we are grateful to Nathan Bennett for his efforts in maintaining this. The time has come for us to improve its usefulness so we would welcome hearing from anyone who has skills to offer in this area. **Finance** . In general, donations reduced by several thousand pounds this year probably because of the effect of inflation on people’s disposable income. Consequently this had a knock on effect in reducing our Gift Aid tax refund. Though we managed to reduce costs in some areas, others, like energy and staff, unavoidably rose in line with inflation. However, as the Income and Expenditure sheet shows, the final payment from a long standing legacy as well as another smaller one, boosted our bank balance which by the grace of God enables us to continue. During the year, financial markets continued to be volatile and at the year end though our invested reserves value was about 5% down, a few weeks later it was back to the previous year end amount. In the medium term they continue to rise and hold their value against inflation. **The Future** . The ‘New Normal’ has been a phrase much banded about since the fallout of the Covid-19 virus took its course. In reality though, stability of what is Normal has not been reached and we have entered a time of frequent and constant change. Though this has certainly impinged upon the way we do things it has also sharpened our approach to what God is calling us to do at this present time. Of one thing we are firm and that is the delivery of His Word continues to be as important as ever it was. Our organisation has always been conscious of the prophets’ message about the End Times and both the behaviour of His people Israel during these days as well as God’s pleading with them to return to Him. That is what we have been entrusted to do so our New Year prayer is that God will move us to respond appropriately to these things and raise up the people needed to fulfill His will.
