REPORT The Obje¢ts of the Charity are to &8sisi in the care, preservation and adornement of the Pwish Church or any other ancient or historic buildings Ye5ted in the Parochi￿ Chur¢h Council (the'PCC'), together their gods and ornaments assi￿ the PCC with n￿IntenanCe and development of the worthip and life of th¢ Church ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE The Fri￿lts IMS Continu￿ to support the work of PCC throughout the year. The princip￿ grant was towards the renewal of the pathway between the South Por¢h w]d the ¢hur¢hyard. The pmject was led by John fiffii¢y and Meg Blumsom and is a wdcome impmement to the South side of the Church. I am saddened to report the sudden death our Se¢rdary. Aileen Anderson. in F¢bnwy. Shewas a great friend and a twly exceptiona5 Secretary. She is much mtwd by ¢veryone she knew and the Or84n1￿tiOns that she supported with all her energy and enthusiasm. ¢lwd MullinBs (Vice ch￿rn￿￿) and John Hobbs (Jnvestsnents and ilanknng Administrator) have worka hard to move our investments from Brewin Dolphin to CCLA and M&G- both very resp#ted fund manager5 who 8pe¢igii8e in looking after the inveytmenls of tharities. W¢nrt Townsend will continue to cw out an independent examination of ¢)ura¢counts. Lynn E￿IdItCh has been appointed Memberthip Srfr¢t8ry. following Sam Burt's move ￿ being Social Secretary. Lynn has undertaken a thorough rewi¢w of the Membership Lisl which has proved a tim consumin8 tssk. However. the result will be mu¢h better communication with members. The AGM and Festal Evensong in June were a gwt succes4 followed by a reception in D¢irdre Waddell's wonderful garden. The Very Revd. Chri*¢)pher Lewis preached. Social events included an excellent talk and demon5tsation of the orgart by Thom￿ Hawkes and Christmas drinks after Chor81 Evensong in December. The c￿ne11 have approved toward the cost of the new lavatories and 4 new Guidebwk. The pole of the early twentieth Certtyry proc£ssionaJ cross has been repaired ai the expense of the Friends Mr Colin Mccorquodale hos been appointed an Honorary Ltfe Mernb￿ in re¢owJition of his 8enerou5 pport of the Friend$. 2026 marks the se Anniversary of the Friends. The free reserves (total unrestricted fimds excludin8 investments) arno￿1 to £121.291 (2024 £95.705) Durin8 the financial year, unrestricted irtcome was £100.946 (2024 £24.588). Restricted income was £ Nil (2024 £6,000). Unrestricted expenditure was £7.670 {2024 £27.757). The Charity's results take account of unrealised profits and t0￿c5 on investments held at the end of the year. Durin8 the year the existin8 inv¢8tsnents were sold r¢alisin8 a 88in oe£73.892 (2024 £1.016). as the investmènts were ¢onsolidated into three specialist Charity Funds. There w&8 an unrealised loss of £713 At 31st De¢ember 2025 (2024 Unrealised Gain of £103.899). A¢¢ordin8iy. the value of investments held by the the charity increased to £1,079.287 art 31 st December 2025 (2024 £938.417). Cash hdd on deposit with the Charity's bankers and al its investment marwer totailed £115,752 (2024 £Y2,155). STRUCTURL GOVERANCE AND MANAGEMENT The Friends of Ciren¢ester Pari$h Church was jounded in 1976 and is a resister￿j ¢h8rity - charity number 272334. The current trust deed was10st revised in 2012 and duty re8istyered with the ChArity Commission. Cownell The Council is elected to mana8e the affairs of th¢ Charity and meets on three occasions per year.
