Tavistock Youn Farmers Club Treasurers Re ort for the ear endin ust 2023 Treasurer: Nicholas Hill Advance the education of young members of the public at largè, in agriculture, home crafts, country life and related subjects., and In the interests of the social welfare of such members to provide, and promote the provision of. facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupations, being faGilit18s which will improve their conditions of life and will assist in the development of their spiritual and mental capacities, self- reliance and individu81 responsibilities so Ihat they will grow to full maturity as individuals and members of the community. Summary of the obJèctlve8 of the charity set out in tho governlng documont Our Club is one of 38 independent Clubs affiliated lo the Devon Federation of Young Farmers Club- Charity number 1098759. Charity fundraising - £5,180 has been raised for Ihe Devon Alr Ambulance and Tavistock YFC club funds. Club members hav8 taken part in a range of activities this year from Entertainments, stock judging, Garol service, sports, social events including part18s and dances, and organising events to raise money for charity. These events included the annual dung sale, Christmas Breakfast, Pig Race night, Grand Draw and bingo night. Summary of the main actlvltles undertaken for the publlc beneflt In relation to those objecllves The Club confirms Ihal il has referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commissions general guidance on public benefit when reviewing ils aims and objectives and in planning future acts'vities. The Club has monthly business meetings in the local pub and weekly club events such as competitions, visils, sports nights, social evenings and perfomance practices. Summary of tha maln achievements of the charity durlng Ihe year Our year was completed wilh a Harvest Supper and AGM to thank th& members, advisory and parents for their help and lo congratulate the members by pr8senling the Club Trophies. We also mad8 a donation to our chosen charity Devon Air Ambulance £1,856.
