PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY
The principal 4¢1ivily of The London Chorus is the study and t￿rormanCe of cliordl rnusic.
REVIEW OF CONCERTS, PERFORMANCLS AND TOUR
The Choir undertook 3 highly successful chordl lour of Naples and the surnunding area in October. 2023
perfrlrniing in CIwi5t Church. Naples, in SoETento Cathedral and in Naplc5 Cathedral.
During the Y￿r, the Choir promol¢d atid perfoTmal ill 4 concerts. took part in a joint concert with the
Separdted Child Fovndalion and held onc Come and Sing event.
The London Chorus also sang on other o(x8sions and the Council wishes to expr&ss its thanks to the

during the year.
With the help of the sponsors and donors n￿ed abov4 The tA)ndon Chonts reccivcd income from all sour

during the year of £121.837 whÈch. after expen￿ of £114.481. left The London Chotus with an overall
surplus for the yeor of £7,356.
The Council is delightoj to a￿Ounce that a DesigDated Fund of £8,0(X) has been set UP Lwt of the reserves
ca￿led forward for the provision of choral scholarships.
The remaining rtrjerves carried fonvard as the General Fu￿1 amount to £44.640. This is set out in the Ba&an¢e
Sheet on page S.
RESERVFS POLICY
The Trustea8' policy i5 to maintatn a level of reserves in the General Fund which will provide A stable basc
for th¢ continuing activities of The London Chorus and ihese are reviewed on a monthly basis. The Trnstees
are also mindfvl of the neaj to keep membership levels as high as possible by pmvidiThg ali intetesting and
stimulating mix of chornt music within the financial mch of the Choir's finan¢es.

I report on the accounts of the company for ihe year ended 31 August 2024. which are set out on pages 5 10 8.
This rcport is made solely to ihe charity's trustees, as a FM)dy. in aCcOrda￿e with Section 145 of the Charities
Acl 2011. My work has been utmlertaken so that J might Stsle lo the charity's truslces thosc matters l am
requi￿ to stale to them in this rq)ort and for no other purpose. To the Fullesl extenl pertniltcd by law, I do
not accept or assume rcsponsibility to anyone other ihan the charity and the charity's tn￿te¢S a5 a body. for
my work, for this ryrt. or for the opinions I have fomied.
Respective rcsponsibilitiu of Trnstees *nd Examiner
The Trnstees (who are also the Directors of the Company foi the pU￿oSe5 of company law) are responsible
r the prepardtion of the account5. Th¢ Ttustees consider ihat an audit is not required for this year under
section 144(2) of the Charities A¢1 2011 and that an independent examination is nccdcd as required by
section 145(l ) of the Act.
Having satisfied myself that the charity is not subject to audit under company law and is eligible for
independent examinalion, il is my responsibility to:
examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act-
to follow th¢ procedurcs laid down in the gfflttal Directions givcn by the Charity Commission under
section 145(5)Ib) of the 2011 A¢L and
to state wheth¢r particular mattets have coine to my atieniion.
BASIS of independent ex#miner's report
My examinaiion was carried out in accordanc¢ wilh the general dirttttons given by the Charity Cornmi5sion.
An examination includes a review of the accounting records kepE by the charity and a comparison of the
accounts pr￿ented with those records. li also includes con5id¢ralion of any unusual items or disclosures in
the accounts, and seeking explanaiions from you as trustees concerning any such tnaltffs. Th¢ procedures
uiidertaken do not provide all the evid¢ncc that would be required in an kudil and consequenily no opinion is
iv¢n as to whether the accounts pr¢s¢rf a 'ttue and fair view, and the report is limit￿1 io those matters set
out in th¢ statem¢iit bclow.
