**Objects:** TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MUSIC: (A) BY PROMOTING SUPPORTING AND DEVELOPING RESEARCH INTO THE CLASSICS OF BRITISH MUSIC AND BY THE PUBLICATION OF SUCH WORKS AT A HIGH EDITORIAL LEVEL AND IN PARTICULAR BY TAKING OVER ALL OR ANY OF THE ASSETS AND LIABILITIES OF THE ROYAL MUSICAL ASSOCIATION WHICH RELATE TO MUSICA BRITANNICA AND BY CONTINUING THE RESEARCH AND PUBLICATION THEREOF. (B) SUBJECT AS AFORESAID AND AS A SUBSIDIARY OBJECT ONLY BY PROMOTING SUPPORTING AND PUBLISHING SCHOLARLY WORKS JOURNALS AND PAPERS OF THE ASSOCIATION.

**Activities:** The Trust promotes, supports, and develops research into British music by the continuing publication of Musica Britannica and by awarding grants to support new recordings of the Musica Britannica repertoire.Additionally, the Trust runs the annual Lewis Memorial Prize to provide support and opportunities for student performers.
