In th¢ financial year in question the Club ran a successfi onference and produced th¢ proceedings (called the Digcstl which was widely c1]ated electronically with a f¢w copies printed and posted to those mernbers without email acc¢s& The website Contains Tecent Digests and past Digests Conti¢ to be added from our archivc. Our membership is curr¢ntly 290. A decrea5¢ in membership on 2023. a large iucrcase Wds seen in 202112022, mainly due to all sponsored place5 and 11 paying del¢gates (not students or spcakers) given memb¢rthip as part of thc 2022 virtual conference's. A large nu]nber of th¢se have not rellew¢d We dont think this should be seen as a negative, w¢ know that there are a number of d¢l¢gates who attend the conference that only wish to join the club for the year that they attend. Since Covid th¢r¢ have been chaDg¢s withill the members tljrough retireJneDt from the itUStry and illdusty personnel moving companics, rnayb¢ into other areas of a]CU]bj1e altogether and therefore the m¢mbership is no longer required. Followiug on from the virttml eonfcrence we have.. - Worked witb the BSAS (Britisb Society of Animal Science) on the Str John Harntnond Award (Sir Jobn Hatnuwnd was a founder of the BCBC). The awdrd is presented in April at the BSAS confereDc¢, the winner is due to speak at the 2025 confcrencc.
