Two trustees are currently appointed, one by North Northamptonshire Council and one by the management committee. Trustees are encouraged and enabled to undertake any training they consider they need. Governing document details - the charity has a written constitution dated 12th June 1991 , Financial Review - there is no specific reserves policy. The treasurer is charged with monitoring reserves and reporting regularly to the managernent committee. The charity is in receipt of an annual grant from North Northamptonshire Council which was £11,660 in this year. Without this grant the charity's future viability would be in doubt. The Trustees are very grateful to the council for its ongoing support. During the year it became apparent that an accrual for rent owed was no longer required. This has given rise to the negative expenditure on rent in the year. Public benefit statement - the charity runs a community centre for the benefit and welfare of local residents in the Danesholme area of Corby. Objectives, activities, achievements, and performance - The main activities undertaken in the year were the letting of halls and rooms to local groups for their activities. These included various dance groups, performing arts groups, church groups, fitness groups, health and wellbeing groups, Book Club, U3A, community support groups, and various sports. Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act,). I report in respect of my examination of the accounts carried oul under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(1) of the Act. This report is provided to the trustees alone, for their own purposes only. No report is given to any other person for any purposes whatsoever.
