Report of the Trustees
1. Establishment and Purpose
Greyfriars Missionary Trust (kne Trusf) was eslabli%hed by a Trust Deed dated 25th September 1975.
The Trust's main purpose is the advancement of religion by the prcKnotion and encouragement of
Christian missionary work in the Evangelical Christian Ira(litb)n.

4. Object and Main Activity and Plans for Future Perlods
Under its governing dc¢JJment. the objective of the Trust is to benefit Christian Missoonary work. To
achieve this objective, the main adiwty is lo act as a chann81 for giving by members of Greyfriars
Church. Reading and New Hope Church, Reading towarts the Sponsorship of Greyfr￿r5, Mission
Partners and the support of Mission SLYAeties in whth the churches have an interest. The Trust kntfils
its objectNe princspally by making grants to other charTtable bodies which send out missionary work. In
future periods. the Trust plans to continue sponsoring Greylriars. Mission Partners and Mission
Societies and doing so in ways that rellect ￿ interests of the members of Greyfri8rs Church and New
Hope Church.
5. Finances
No part of general giving made to Greyfn'ars Church or New Hope ChLtrch goes to support its Mission
Partners. Those indivKluals who wish Io participate in the financrdl suppcwl of the Mission Partners and
the Mission SO￿eties supported by the Trust give dir8clJy to GreyfriaTS Missionary Trust.

The Trust's propety at 14 Sackville Street continued to be rented out during 2025, albeit with a brigf
hiatus befv4een tenants, generating ￿ntaI in)me of £14,085 (2024: £14.550}. Management fees.
maintenance and other experjdilure amounted to £6,192 for 202512024= £3,271).
6. Mission Partners
The Trust supported 14 Mission Partners around the worfd in 202512024.. 141. Total grants payable to
Mission Partners in 2025 increaseil by £2.505 to £103.263, reflecting a 2.5% increase in funding levels
to Mission Partners in the year. £109.423 was paid to Mission Partners in the year, including £6,160 of
grants which had been accrued at 31 December 2024 but wer8 paid in January 2025 (Note 4 of tha
Financial Slatomentsl.
Th8 calling of each of the Mission Partners is lested by a panel of members of the Greyftiars Misslonary
Twst Trustees and a PCC representative before being acceptthd for support by the Trust.
7. Other Grants
Grants of £nil were made to Mission Societies in 2025 12024: £3,000). Short-tem rni5sion grants
lotalling £3,000 were male in the year12024: £1.(K)O) (Note 4 of the Finawal St8tements).
8. Reserves
The Trustoes assess the adequacy of the TnJst's reserves at each mting d￿n9 the year lat ￿8st

9. Public Benefit
The TTusl8os have Compl￿ the duty {set out in Section 4 of Ihe Charibes Act 2011) to have due
regard to public benefrt guidance published by th8 Charity Commission. The Truslees consider that
public benefft is provided by the foojs of the grants on efjucation and training, relief of poverty. sports
and recreation. conseN8tion and communty developmen( toggther wtth religK)us activthgs.
10. Risk Assessment
The Trust exists to make grants to mi￿0n0r1es an¢J mi85K)n ￿18￿&$ which Greyfriars Church and
New Hope Church wish to support ffnancially. The major Source of In￿rne to the Trust is gifts, chiefy
from members of Greyfriars Church and New Hope Church. past and present. The Trust￿ cLJnsider
