REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 5 APRIL 2025

REFERENCE AND ADMINISTRATION

The Shiloh Pentecostal Church (Dalston Branch) is registered with the Charity Commissioners (number 270261) and constituted by a Deed of Trust dated 22 July 1968. The principal place of business is Shiloh Pentecostal Church, Ashwin Street, Dalston, London E8 3DL.

The society is administered by charity trustees comprising:

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

The society is constituted and governed by a Deed of Trust dated 22 July 1968 and trustees are appointed or reappointed annually at the Annual General Meeting.

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

The objectives of the Shiloh Pentecostal Church, Dalston, are the furtherance of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to provide a place of worship and spiritual guidance to the community.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

Shiloh Pentecostal Church (Dalston Branch) continues to be a place of worship in the community under the leadership of a Pastor and Assistant Pastor.

The church supports a number of overseas churches in India, Indonesia and Uganda through its missionary grant fund. Grants are made on a regular basis to overseas missionary outreach work. Support is given to a number of overseas orphanages in India, Indonesia and Uganda. This year grants of £3,300 (2024: £7,100) were awarded.

FINANCIAL REVIEW

The society only has unrestricted funds and there is no particular policy on reserves. The reserves are used towards the maintenance of the properties (vicarage and church buildings) and to provide sufficient funds to cover Pastors' salaries and administrative costs for twenty-four months. The principal funding sources are church offerings and rent received.

The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees' report above.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF THE SHILOH

PENTECOSTAL CHURCH (DALSTON BRANCH)

We report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 5 April 2025 which are set out on pages 3 to 6.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

Basis of independent examiner's report

Our examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a "true and fair view" and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
