The study and practice of Choral and Orchestral music in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation of such music by means of public performance and education.

In planning our activities for the year we kept in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our committee meetings. The focus of our activities continues to be the provision of live orchestral and choral performances for attendance by members of the public; and regular rehearsals at which members of the society continue to learn about and practise the music to be performed. During the 2020/21 year the society ensembles were unable to undertake rehearsals or concerts due to the Covid restrictions. It is hoped that activities can resume in full in the following year. Independent Examlner's Report to the Trustees of the Slough Philharmonlc Soclety {Charity No. 269909) on the Accounts for the Year ended 31 May 2021. I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Slough Philharmonic Soaety (the Trust) for the year ended 31 May 2021. Responsibilities and basls of report As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Att 2011 {'the Att,). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under settron 145 of the 2011 Art and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145151{bl of the Act. Independent examinerfs ststement I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connettion with the examination which give me cause to believe that. in any material respert: - accounting records were not kept in accordance with settion 130 of the Art; or b. the accounts do not accord with the accounting records. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
