Publlc L*nefft In setting objectives and planning activities, the Trustees have considered the Charitv Commission's general guidance on public benefit and to its supplementary publlc benefft guidance on féè-tharging. An individual's economic status, gender. ethnicity. race, religion or disabi51ty do not form part of our assessment processes. The trustees confirm that they have complied with the requirements of Section 4 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission for En818nd and Wales. Achl•v•m•nts •nd Perform•Dce Due to the continuing general cost of living crisis the charity has provided arb intrèas• in 8rantS during the last twelve months. We have prowded a substantial increase in granls for whlte goods, child fees and for beds and bedding. Referrals are made from the Citiiens Advice Bureau, East Devon Dlstrlci Counal, various health or mental health teams and other local or8anisatlons. All applications must have a sponsor and are not accepted from the applbcant. No monies are sent direct to the individual. Flnanclal Re¥lv The reserves of the charity as at the year•end are shown on the balance sheet. The financlal sltuation has been monltored closely by the Trustees and in View of the continuing challenges within the community funds transferred to ensure interest and dividends received are sufficient to meet the need. The trustees do not plan any change in the activities of the charity. or the way grants are provided. Thè financial practices havè bÈen revlewed during the year followlng a changè to pawng most of the grants by ￿Cs direct to suppliers.
