**Activities:** The objective of the association is to promote the development and study of International Studies and to encourage education and the advancement of learning in the subject area both in the UK and elsewhere.  It is also an objective to publish a scholarly journal and other such publications, to organise an annual conference and facilitate working groups, communication and contacts between scholars.
