Objects: 1) To Advance The Education Of The People Of Great Britain And Of The People Of Indian Origin Living In The United Kingdom Or People Having Their Origin In The Sub-Continent Of India By Fostering Among The People Of The United Kingdom And Other Countries The Knowledge And Appreciation Of The Cultures Of India And The Sub-Continent And Of Fostering Among People Of Indian Origin Living In The United Kingdom Or Having Their Origins In The Sub-Continent The Knowledge And Appreciation Of English Culture. 2) To Relieve Poverty And To Assist And Mitigate The Effects Of Any Natural Disaster In The Indian Sub-Continent By Such Means Being Charitable As The League May In Its Absolute Discretion Think Fit.
