As a community run Pre School, we cannot work without you. This AGM covers a shorter period due to last year’s covid delated AGM delayed until earlier this year. The re-introduction of parent visits and parents being able to stay with their children whist settling in has gone well, and has been a huge positive change for both the children and parents. The covid induced changes that we agreed were actually better off for the Pre School have stayed in place and have been working well to create a calmer environment at drop off and pick up. This year has also seen the return of some fundraising events. Over the summer we held a Jubilee themed summer fete. The children helped make bunting and decorations in the weeks leading up to the event, which made the pre-school look fantastic on the day. It was so good to see the garden full of the children and their families having fun and being able to raise some much needed funds for the pre-school. Having the security of a 10-year lease agreed give the preschool more options when applying for grants and funding Being a committee run pre-school, we really do rely on having a full committee. Without the committee and support from parents we cannot open and cannot put on fund raising events to raise much needed funds for the pre-school. Please do consider volunteering for the committee so we can keep doing all of this. Overall, we have had a successful year, and everyone involved in the running of Old Court has worked extremely hard and the year ahead is looking positive. Numbers were lower than we have had in previous years as we returned to normal operation following Covid closures, and restrictions. **----- Start of picture text -----**

## **Expenditure** Overall expenditure was £5k more in 2022 than in 2021, although excluding the increase due to timing of staff salaries administration costs would have been £2k less than the year before. Setting improvements and repair costs were kept to a minimum and large expenditure has been pushed back until the finances were more settled, although we do hope to upgrade the lighting across the setting soon in order to replace the old fluorescent tubes with LED panels which are safer and cheaper to run. **----- Start of picture text -----**

## **Overview** 2022 has been another challenging year for Old Court, with number across the setting starting the year much lower than we have experienced in the past, before picking up again toward the latter stages and going forward into this current year. The reduced numbers of children had a major impact of the turnover received in funding, and this in turn has led to the setting making a loss of £18k. Old Court is fortunate that we had reserves built up that we have dipped into although we hope to return to being in a position to rebuild these reserves going forward. **----- Start of picture text -----**
