Charity Number : 267690

Trustees

1. Mr Patrick Fairweather

2. Mr John Phipps

Beaulieu Village Hall is run by the following: Chairman: Mr Robin Wallis Treasurer: Mrs Elaine Schofield Bookings/Social Media Mrs Sarah Wallis

Beaulieu Village Hall is a community hall, which takes bookings for various classes, meetings, family gatherings.

During 2019/2020 the hall has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and has been closed for most of this period as per Government Guidance.

Takings have been lower, and a Grant of £10,000 was received by the New Forest District Council.

Unfortunately the 2020/2021 trading period will also be impacted by the COVID19 pandemic as Government Guidance has resulted in the hall remaining closed.

Once we can open up the Village Hall pre-pandemic, we have plans for a monthly Farmers Market, and look forward to welcoming back our weekly/monthly hall hirers.

In this time of uncertainty, it is difficult to predict the figures for the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 period

## BEAULIEU VILLAGE HALL TRUST

## Hello John

Please see below – I managed to get a Government Grant of £10,000 for COVID19 which is showing 2019-2020 accounts.

The other Grants will show in the 2020/2021 accounts being a total of £10,636.57 as of today’s date

I cheekily asked if we could claim as the school children use the hall for their lunch, this being the keyworkers children at that time.

NFDC said yes we could as the hall wasn’t being used for its primary use, being letting the hall out for community purposes. So I claimed. It has been a great help as we’ve still had to buy oil, pay for electric, had to have a new boiler as the other one packed up, a leaky roof, the floor repaired, PAT testing etc. We would not have been able to do this without the Grants.

Sales are still really slow with the restrictions, but hopefully now that Boris has lifted quite a few things, our regular groups (Pre-COVID) will start to come back to the hall.

If you have any further queries, please let me know.

With kind regards Elaine
