Our committee would like to highlight what a fantastic year our preschool has had.
Not only financially but providing an upstanding setting for childcare yet again for another year.
We would like to thank the staff for their dedication and hard work in providing a professional and nurturing environment to the children. Of course, working with outside agencies and professionals building relationships that is vitally important to our local community, parents and carers.
Being a charity run preschool we reply on fundraising alongside our childcare funding money we receive.
This year we have made an amazing contribution to fundraising through out the year.
Committee and staff’s efforts of fundraising has been really appreciated and much need this year. This was successful due to the other’s day shop/ father day shop & Christmas shop. Including raising money for the children walking around the park field through sponsorship. Well done to all involved.
This year has been our highest year of fundraising so far totalling £817.00.
This year also we were lucky enough to receive a donation of £6172.00 from a local preschool that sadly had to close its doors, and they decided to donate funds to us to help support our business. In turn we also received several children from this setting, which preschool took in and nurtured each child until leaving for their new school adventures. We were so grateful.
This year we will be looking to recruit a new committee as a lot of our current committee members’ children have now moved onto big school. The current standing committee has been on the board for some years now, and we will feel its time to hand over to a new committee that will take the preschool to new adventures and achievements.

I have independently examined the Accounts as set out on pages 4 to 14 which have been prepared on an accruals basis.
The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an Independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
- Examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act;
- Follow procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commissioners section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act; and
- State whether particular matters have come to my attention.
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the management committee concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in a full audit, and consequently I do not express an opinion on the accounts.
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
- (1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements
- to keep accounting records in accordance with s.130 of the 2011 Act; or
- to prepare accounts, which accord with these accounting records have not been met; or
- (2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
