ACHIEVEMENfs AND PERFORMANCE
The Trustees have ¢ompl¢led the pro¢¢ss of updating the Governan￿ and Obj¢cts and the
repurposin8 of our Obj¢¢ts. As a resul( we expect to be able to make our fwst Grants early in 2026.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
During the year ended 31 March 2025, the clwity's was £45251 (2024 - £64.382) and
expenditure was £,8,604 (2024- £22.450).
Th¢ charity achieved a wlus of £35.623 for the year (2024 - £A9.508) after rKt g￿n￿{lo$￿) on
investments of £(1,024) (2024- £7.576).
The reserves of the clwity at 31 Mar¢h 2025 £636.993 Q024 - £601J70).
The trustees believe the charity to be a going conl￿.
IDVUtment Poliq
The greater part of the charity's funds are invested in a wtfolio managed by Evelyn Partners. The
portfolio's core objective is a balance between income and growth over a medium-terni time horizDn.
In additio￿ the t￿￿teeS have agreed with their investment manager that there should be no direct
investment in companies that derive more than 5Y• of their turnov¢r from tobacco production and
companies that derive more than 30h of their turnover from arnwnents.

Reserves Policy And Going Coneern
It is the ￿lI1¢Y of the tharity to maintain unrestric*d fund4 which are the free reserves of the charity, at
a level sufficient to cover their immediate firture plans and 6 months, unrestricted expenditure. The
trustees are of a view that the ctwity is a going coneA
Risk Management
The trustees have examined the major operational risks which the charity faces Ènd confinn that
systems have been established to enable reJy)rts to be produced so that the necessary steps can be
tsken to lessen these Tisks.
PLANS FOR FufuRE PERIODS
With our Governance changes complefr4 your TTr￿ have benefited from our close working
relationship with the Lyndhurst Parish Councils to market the availability of Grants and the qualification
requirements. In the first round, 15 applicalions have IKen received by 31 December 2025 amounting
to nearly £400.000. After review by the TnLStees, it w&s decided to make unconditional offers to 9
applicants totslling £176598 and conditional offer5 to 5 applicants totslling £87,735.
The Trustees are therefo￿ satisfied with the Pro￿ being made in respcct of issuing Grants to good
causes in Lyndhurst and th¢ surrounding areas.

The charity w&8 constituted on 22 May 1974 and registered as a cl)arity on l July 1974, charity number
267393.

The Trustees are reS￿)nsIble for preparing the TnL8tees' Annual Report and the Financial Statements
in ￿cOrdanCe with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom
Generally Accepted Accounting P￿tice).
The law applicable to charities in England and Wal¢s requires the Trustees to prepare Financial
Ststements for each f￿￿]CIal perio(L which give a true and fair view of the state of the affairs of the
charKty and of its incoming resources and application of resources of the charity for that period. In
preparing those Financial Stat¢ments the Trustees are required to:
select suitable accounting poli¢i¢s and then apply them consistently.
observe the methods and principles in the Chariiies SORP.
make judgements and estimates that ar¢ reasonable and prudent.
State whether applicable UK accounting standards have been followed. subject to any material
d¢partur¢s disclosed and explained in the FinanciaI Statements. and
prepare the Financial Statements on the going concern basis unless it Is Inappropriale to
pr¢sum¢ that the charity will continue on that basis.
The Trustees ar¢ responsible for maintaining proper accounting records Nvhich disclose, with
reasonable accuracy at any time, the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that
the Financial Stat¢m¢nts comply with the Charities Act 2011, the Charity (Accounts and Reports)
Regulations 2008 and the provisions of the trust deed. They are also responsible for safeguarding
the assets of the charity and. hence, for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of
fraud and other irregularities.

The Financial Statements have been prepara underthehistorical rA)Stconvention with items
recognised at cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant not¢s to the
accounts. The Financial Statements have been prepared in accordance the Statement of
Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by CEwitie4 applicable to charities
preparing the Financial Statements in accordance with the Financial Re￿rtIng Stsndard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)- (Chariti&s SORP (FRS 102)) and
the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of treland (FRS 102)
and the Charities Act 2011.
The charity constitutes a public benefit entity as d¢fined by FRS 102.

During the year ended 31 March 2025. the cl)arity changed its name from The Leaguc of
