The exhibition 8lso displayed some 20 turned pieces by invited professional tUTners who were ¢hallenged to cr•ate a piece ol turned art to ¢elebrale Ihe Coronation ot His Majesty King Chades 111. The Trust supports educational establishments and charrties including those colering for young people with special needs, by providing lath?s and equipment. Th• Trust has developed a rèlationship with Ihts BlackhoTse Workshop in Walthamsl¢)w. North London and is contrnuing to help aspiring turners develop their skills at Cockpit Arts, a business ineubalof in South London for crafts people. The Trust's agreament to fund three scholarships ovei six yeais. awarded by the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust IQESTI for aspiring tumers, was continued in 202314. A lotal of £15.000 has beén committed over the six wrs. Th8 Trust has also continued to develop the Yeoman sd)eme. under whi¢h previous Bursary winners, Cod(pil Art scholars and QEST scholars can l)e¢ome 8 'Yeoman' in Ihe Worshipful Comp8ny of Turners. Through this, they Join a professional development programme to build the core skill$ needed to develop their car8er5 and businesses. In 202314, the Trustees allocatèd £4,300 from an earlier donation Df £50,000 from a Liveryman to fund this scheme. Other ways of supporting the Yeomen are under consideration. The Trust supported a Second 'EmeTging tumèrs, workshop. OTgani5ed by the Register ol Professional Tumers, which teaches new skills and offers networking opportunitses lo young professional turneT5.
