## **FLAUNDEN VILLAGE HALL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE** ## **Treasurer’s report 2020 - Financial year ending 31 December 2021** ## _**Flaunden Village Hall Fund Charity No. 234611**_ Investment income £1350, generated from the capital (£30,837 at 31/10/2021) resulting from the sale of the original village hall, which is held in trust under a separate charity to provide income for the current village hall. The accounts have been independently approved and presented to the Flaunden Village Hall Management Committee ## _**New Village Hall Charity No. 267056**_ ## **Revenue Income (Hall lettings)** - £7,912 (137% increase from 2020) ## **Major Expenditure £24,932** - £19,057 Conversion of 2 changing rooms, to single larger room plus storeroom - £2,431 External painting and replacement facia boards - £722 Conversion of original storeroom to “Green room” - £677 Bike rack - £1,700 Kitchen hardware for fitting in 2022 - £172 4 x light weight folding tables - £173 Garden accessories for Village Gateway and Tommy ## **Grants £17,474:** - Standard Government Covid 19 grants ## **Summary** £74 deficit recorded in the accounts, compared to a gain of £8,928 in 2020. However this gain included a Lottery Grant of £9,850 towards the cost of the 2021 changing room upgrade. Hence in reality 2020 resulted in a net loss of £922 Contributing factors were:- - Gratefully received Covid Grants, coupled with forced closure early in 2021, enabled major improvements to take place - Regular Expenditure costs down, in particular; Cleaning, Utilities and Insurance ## **Funds** Total funds available as at 31st.
