To promote the permanent preservation for the benefit of the public, buildings monuments or other edifices or structures in the UK. To protect and conserve the character and heritage of the cities towns and villages in and around which such buildings monuments or other edifices of structures exist. To advance public education of and interest in the conservation of the UK's built heritage.
Objects: A) To Promote The Permanent Preservation For The Benefit Of The Public Generally Of Buildings Monuments Or Other Edifices Of Structures Of Whatsoever Kind And Whether Permanent Or Attaching To Land Or Not (including But Without Prejudice To The Generality Of The Foregoing Any Building As Defined In Section 336(1) Of The Town And Country Planning Act 1990) And Wheresoever In The United Kingdom Situate Of Particular Beauty Or Historical Architectural Or Constructional Interest. B) To Protect And Conserve Or Promote The Protection And Conservation Of The Character And Heritage Of The Cities Towns And Villages In And Around Which Such Buildings Monuments Or Other Edifices Of Structures Exist. C) To Advance Public Education Of And Interest In The History Of The United Kingdom And Its People And Thereby To Promote Public Taste And Education In And Concerning The Conservation Of Its Creative Heritage And The Encouragement Of Aesthetic Standards Attaching To Its Contemporary Environment.
