## **Newton Abbot and District Young Farmers Club** Charity Number: 266573 Amory Building, Cheriton Bishop, Exeter, EX6 6JH Our Club is one of 37 independent Clubs affiliated to the Devon Federation of Young Farmers Club – Charity number 1098759 . ## Objectives: - - Advance the education of young members of the public at large, in agriculture, home crafts, country life and related subjects; and - In the interests of the social welfare of such members to provide, and promote the provision of, facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupations, being facilities which will improve their conditions of life and will assist in the development of their spiritual and mental capacities, self-reliance and individual responsibilities so that they will grow to full maturity as individuals and members of the community. ## Summary of Main Activities: - Charity Fundraising - £4,000 has been raised for with money being jointly split between the two charities, Devon Air Ambulance and RABI. There has been many activities that the club members have taken part in this year, from Entertainments, stock judging, log sales, Christmas tree collections, breakfast morning, tractor run, car wash, bingo evening and various other organised events to raise money for charity. The Club confirms that is has referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commissions general guidance on the public benefit when reviewing its aims and objectives and in planning future activities. Summary of Main Achievements of the charity during the year: - The Club has monthly meetings in the local Inn meeting room. Trustee members also attend monthly meetings to discuss group and county events and competitions. During these meetings a full program is discussed covering past and upcoming events. For example, stock judging, group and county competitions, club achievements and future fundraising events. This year the Club placed second in the group entertainments competition. Our year was completed with an end of year celebration and AGM to thank the members, advisory and parents for their help and to congratulate the members by presenting the Club Trophies.
