## **Treasurer’s Report of Newton Abbot YFC 2022-23** 

- Advance the education of young members of the public at large, in agriculture, home 

- crafts, country life and related subjects; and 

• In the interests of the social welfare of such members to provide, and promote the provision of, facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupations, being facilities which will improve their conditions of life and will assist in the development of their spiritual and mental capacities, self-reliance and individual responsibilities so that they will grow to full maturity as individuals and members of the community. 

Our Club is one of 37 independent Clubs affiliated to the Devon Federation of Young Farmers Club – Charity number 1098759. 

Charity fundraising - £2,000 has been raised for the Dartmoor Rescue 

This has been many activities that the club members have taken part in this year from Entertainments, stock judging, sports, and organising events to raise money for charity. 

This includes Pig racing, Big Breakfast and Tractor Run to raise money. 

The Club confirms that it has referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commissions general guidance on public benefit when reviewing its aims and objectives and in planning future activities. 

On the Club has monthly meetings every first Tuesday of the month in a local social club and weekly club socials for all members to attend. This is in addition to a very full program of everything from Stock Judging, Choir, Entertainments, Cheerleading & many socials such as Blind drops & Rounders. 

Our year was completed with an end of year Dinner & Dance where we gave out awards to many dedicated and deserving members and AGM to thank the members, advisory and parents for their help. 

We also made donations to our chosen Charity Dartmoor Rescue of £2,000.00 which they were highly pleased and thankful for.
