Objectives and Activities

Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document	The objects of the charity are the furtherance and promotion of the Jewish religion and Jewish religious education in any part of the world, and to assist Neve Yerushalayim Seminary, Israel primarily by raisingfunds and enlistingsupport and assistance.
Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts.	During the year the charity continued to raise funds and to apply the funds in grants in furtherance of its objectives.
Statement confirming whether the trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit	The Trustees confirm their compliance with the duty to have due regard to the Public Benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission when reviewing the Charity's aims and objectives in planning future activities.

Achievements and Performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.

The funds raised by the charity have allowed the Neve Yerushalayim Seminary to continue its mission; “to educate, inspire, and empower young women, ages 18-33, who have little or no knowledge of Jewish heritage”. Since 1970 more than 35,000 women from all over the world have attended Neve. Located on six acres on one of the highest points in Jerusalem, the picturesque campus provides a safe and nurturing environment for women to explore and find meaning in their Jewish identity.

Financial Review

Review of the charity’s financial position at the end of the period	At the year end, the charity held £1,406 in unrestricted reserves. These funds are due to be donated to the Neve Yerushalayim Seminary,net of anyadministrative expenses incurred.
Statement explaining the policy for holding reserves stating why they are held	The trustees have decided that there is no need for the charity to hold significant reserves, as grants are only made if there are available reserves, and there are no ongoing material overhead or administrative costs.

Structure, Governance and Management

Description of charity’s trusts:	The charity is constituted and governed by a Trust Deed dated 20 June 1973. The charity is managed and controlled by the trustees, who meet regularly.
Trustee selection methods including details of any constitutional provisions e.g. election to post or name of any person or body entitled to appoint one or more trustees	It is not the intention of the trustees of the charity to appoint any new trustees. Should the situation change in the future, the trustees will apply suitable recruitment induction and training procedures.

	The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to: ● examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act, ● to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act, and ● to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below. In connection with my examination, no material matters have come to my attention which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: ● accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act or ● the accounts do not accord with the accounting records I have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
