## Section D Achievements and erformance p

**Summary of the main** With the reduction of Covid regulations and completed enhancements to **achievements of the charity** the building, the bookings at the Centre have increased steadily. By the **during the year** end of the year we had become busier than before the pandemic, with many old bookings returning and a welcome mix of community orientated new ones. Users are taking advantage of our improved facilities, which include a lift and improved lighting so both halls are now properly accessible and usable by all. Risk assessments and operating procedures continue to be updated and communicated to volunteers and users. Raffles and indoor sales provide a steady additional income and an opportunity for social interaction in the community. The two Electric Vehicle Charging points are increasingly well used providing a muchneeded local facility. Fitting a grant funded remote access system has freed up valuable volunteer time and increased the involvement of user groups. The Trustees reviewed the work required to run the Centre and instituted an appeal for more volunteer help to keep it running smoothly. Our hopes for the future reflect our long-standing constitutional aim of providing space for **all** in the local community to meet for a wide variety of activities whilst keeping hire charges to a minimum. The provision of such a facility is of huge importance in supporting the educational, social and emotional needs of Wiveliscombe and surrounding areas.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31/12/2022 Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

- **Independent** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have

- **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

   - the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or

   - the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or

   - the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
