The trustees present their report and financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2022
The financial statements have been prepared in a¢cordan¢e with the accounting policies set out In
note 1 to the financial statements and comply with the charty's constituts'on, the Charities Act 2011,
the Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 and the Statement of Recommended Practice,
'Accounting and Reporting by Charities., issued in March 2005.

The trust is govemed by a deed of trust dated 3 May 1972 and is a registered charity Icharity number
2658381.

sin￿ its establishment in 1972, the Trust continues to be ex1remely active in its mission to support
the 'advancement of dental education, research and care, wherever il is needed,. The Trustees meet
regularty to ensure appropriate and prompt distribution of funds to worthy causes which have included
dental schools. clinics, care homes and students whilst always creating a posib've social impact and
ensuring the highest levels of governance.
The trustees confirm that they have referred to the guidan￿ contained in the Charity Commission's
gerieral guidance on public benefit when reviewing the Trust's aims and objectives and in planning
fLSture activities and setting the grant making policy in the year.
Roview of activtties for the year
The trust has raised funds for various educational benefits during the year both in Israel and in Great
Britain.
The tr￿SteeS may invest the unrestricted funds in any type of investment as seen fit.
Reserves Pollcy
It is the policy of the Charity that unrestrscted funds which have not been designated for a specific use
should be maintained at a level equivalent to between three and six months expendrture. The
Iruslees consider that funds at this level will ensure that in the event of a significant drop in funding
they will be able to continue the Charity's current activities while consideration is given lo ways in
which additional funds may be raised.
Risk managemènt
The trustees have examined the major, strategic, business and operation81 risks that the charity
faces and confimi that the systems have been established to ensure that these risks are minimised.

Indepondent examlner
The trnstees inlend to ask the existing independent examiner to undertake the independent
examination of the tnjst in the following year.

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees. Report and the financial statements in
accOrdar￿e wilh applicable Lgw and United lQngdom Accounting Standards {United Kingdom
The law appltcable to chaTilie5 in England and Wales requires the trustees to prepare financial
statements for each financial year which give a true and tsir view of the stste of affairs of the charty
and of the incoming resources and applKation of resourceg of the charity for that penod.
In preparing these financial statements the trustees are required to:
sekct suitable accounting policies and then appty them consistentty,.
observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP",
make sudgements and e5ts"mates that are reasonable and prudent,.
state whether apFAi¢able accounting standards have been followed, $ubJ"ect to ary
material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements,. and
prepare the financial statements on the going concem basis unless it is inappropriate to
presume that the charity will continue in business.

a￿￿raCY at any lime the financial positton of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the
financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011, the Charty (Accounls and Reports)
Regulations 2008 and Ihe promsions of the trust deed. They are also responsiblè for safeguarding the
assets of the charity and hence for tsking ￿aSonab￿ steps for the prevention and detectv)n of fraud

I report on the financial 8talements of the Trust for the year ended 30 June 2022. which are sel out on
pages 6 to 10.

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparatlon of the financial slalemenls. The ch8rily's trustees
consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 14412) of the Charities Acl 2011 Ilhe 2011
Act} and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility..
to examine the accounts {under section 145 of the 2011 Act}.,
to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity
Commission (under section 14515lb of the 2011 Actl", and
lo stste whether particular matters have come lo my attention.
Basis ol independent examinerfs report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includas a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the financial statements presented with those records. It al80 indudes consideration of any
unusual items or disclosures in the financial stalemenls, and seeking explanations from you as trustees
concerning any such maiters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidènce that would be
required in an audit and Consequently no opinion is given as to whether the finan¢ial slalemenls pre￿nI a
'true and fair view. and the report is limited lo those matters set out in the slalemenl below.

Accountlng Pollcles
The principal accounting policies are summarised below. The accounting policies have been applied
consislently throughout the year and the preceding year.
1.1 Basis of accountin9

The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Accounlirg and Reporting by Charities..
Statement of Recommended Practice applicable lo charities preparing their accounts in accordance ¥Mth
the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 102} leffecb've 1
January 20151- (Charities SORP IFRS 1021}.
This is the flrst year of FRS 102 adoption. Thls has not resulted in any differences to the financial
stslements.
1.2 Incomlng Rosourcas
All incoming iesources are included in the statement of financial activities vthen the charity is entitled lo
the income and the 8mounl can be quantified with reasonable accuracy. The following specific poliaes
are applied to particular categofies of income..
Voluntary income is received by way of donabons 8nd gifts and is inclLthd in fvll in the ststement of
financial activities when received.
The value of services provided by volLmteers has not been included.
1.3 Resources Expended
All expènditure Is recognised on an accruals basis. Expenditure includes any VAT which cannot be
recovered and is included in the relevant costs in the statement of financial activities.
Direct expenditure comprise the cost of donations made,. other eX￿nditUre indudes costs incurred by the
charity in delivery of its activities and services for ils beneficiaries. Govemance costs are Ihoso incurred in
connection with the administration of the charity and compliance wlh the constitLttional and statutory
requirements.
1.4 Fund Accountlng
General funds are un￿StriCted funds which are available for use at the discretion of the Trustees in the
furtherance of the general objedives of the Charity and which have not been designated for other
purposes.
Reslricled funds are funds thich are subject to specifie conditions by donors as to how they may be used
