Ir￿me from Book sales was £333k in 2021. up £25k {8Y.) from £308k in 2020. CCLR income of £21k in both
years 15 included in book sa￿S and totakg. The largest increases wthin the bwk sal85 were from EbcM)ks. with
0 £15k177%1 inc￿89¢ ￿nCe 2020 of both individual and mutti user licence El￿okS sales combined.
Magazines
Income from magazine subscriptrons dropped by £12k {9%1 from £146k in 2020 10 £134k in 2021. The
Iruslee's are reviewng how a strategy can be implemented to increase this income agabn.

Income from Course events in 2021 was £48k vs £33k in 2020. This is an increase of £15k145Y.I, which is the
result of having rrv)re events. and the n￿¥6 to on-Iln8 events, compare(1 to 2020 when we had many in
person events cancdled.

Overall, expenditure in 2021 was conslstènt wlth the prior ye8r. There were inueases in reslricled costs ol
wages and direct costs, however this is to be expected wilh higher grant incom8 and hSghor b<x)k sales which
result in increased direct costs.
2021 ended on a positiv9 [￿1￿, IK>wever there is still rTr)m to improve our systems in order lo be able to
expand our offering. The Chief Exec)Jiive Officer continuès to work closely with LAG'5 Treasurer lo ensure the
financlal slabllity of the charity. This is achieved by producing regular management accounts and cash flow
projeclKJns to identify any future cash flow problems so that action Lan be taken beforehand to ensure th8
survival of Ihe charty. Regular rrEelings lake place to ￿￿en11'ty changes lo Propos￿ btsdgèt￿ incorne and
expenditure.
LAG'S income is reliant on the salès of books, events and sub5criplk)ns lo the magaine. These are monitored
cbsety. and we have developed closer customer re￿tItins wrth ￿[ger organisations to undèrstand and meet
their content and delivery need. We re￿nISe that grant funding 15 impK)rtant for devebping the organisalion
and the need to adapt our content and delivery. OLtr strategy highlights the need lo expand our grant funding
