Section C Objectives and activities
Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
The objects of the Association shall be - To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Westgate-on-Sea and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex or political, religious and other opinions by associating the Local Authorities voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. To establish and secure the establishment of a Community Centre and to maintain and manage, or to co-operate with the Local Statuary Authority in the maintenance and management of such a centre for activities promoted by the Association and its constituent bodies in the furtherance of the above objects. The Association shall be Non-Party in Politics and NonSecretarian in Religion

During the period between April 2021 to end March 2022 we were still experiencing some restrictions relating to Covid 19, using the QR code and mask wearing. Regular hirers gradually returned from May and parties started to return in July. We even accommodated a choir in the car park to adhere to the covid guidelines. . Section D Achievements and performance
Two new sets of chairs were ordered on trolleys. The centre now has 94 chairs.
All annual inspections were carried out and any maintenance required was completed.
An old scrap container was removed from the car park.
A new committee member has been appointed to run the social media site for the community centre. This has resulted in more enquires.
