The Ward Blenkinsop Trust was set up by a Trust Deed dated 24 August 1972. The Trust Fund consisted of shares in Ward Blenkinsop & Co Ltd. a Private Limited Company. In 1981 the Company was taken over by Shell Chemicals. The amount received by the Trust for its shares in the company amounted to £900,000.00, which was invested through Coutts & Co, and the Trust receives the income from those investments. The Market Value of those investments at 31 March 2022 was £1,846,263.
The Trust Deed permits the Trustees to apply the income and/or any part of the Capital for such charitable purposes as the Trustees think fit. All requests for funds are reviewed by the Trustees.
At 31 March 2022 the Trust Fund consisted of the market value of the investments £1,846,263 (as above) plus the bank balance per the accounts of £81,870.64.
There are no accruals of either income or of expenditure.

ASSETS OF THE CHARITY
The original sum of £900,000 invested through Coutts & Co in 1981 (market value at 31 March 2022 £1,846,263) after £10,015 paid to Coutts & Co as Management Fee during the year.
Cash at the bank amounted to £81,870.64 at 31 March 2022.
