**Objects:** 1. TO TRAIN COMPETENT SWIMMERS IN THE RLSS METHOD OF LIFE-SAVING/LIFEGUARDING; AND2. TO LIFEGUARD THE LOCAL BEACHES TO MAKE THEM SAFE FOR BATHERS AND WATER USERS.

**Activities:** The aims and objectives of the Portsmouth & Southsea Voluntary Lifeguard Club are to train competent swimmers in the RLSS method of life-saving/lifeguarding, provide an inshore rescue boat service  and to guard the local beaches to render them safer for bathers and boat users.
