**be used for the support of young people**
**unable to meet the cost of attending**
**courses. Our assistance has allowed**
**many young people access to technical**
**education and helped improve their**
**learning and living environment.**
**Annual grants are made to the 15 village**
**clinics we support enabling them to**
**purchase essential items not provided**
**by government. These grants are**
**channelled through the District Liaison**
**Officers who then audit the spending on**
**our behalf. We continue with a program**
**to ensure that all our supported clinics**
**are kept in good condition and have**
**access to reliable, safe water supplies.**
**These grants allow the clinics to operate**
**more effectively for the benefit of**
**villagers, particularly women and**
**children.**
**A classroom for the use of SEN children**
**has been built in Iyombo village using**
**funds donated by Cranbrook School, an**
**ex-Cranbrook pupil and using funds**
**from The Friends of Nzega, a charity**
**which has now ceased its operations.**
**In the villages of Mambali and Usisya we**
**have agreed to fund the construction of**
**maternity units. It is expected that**
**these will be completed around August**
**2024.**
**Two boreholes were sunk near Kiloleni**
**village. One is used by nearby**
**households and by herdsmen for**
**watering their cattle. The second has**
**been connected to the newly built**
**maternity unit via a 3kmpipeline.**| **Rainwater harvesting schemes have been completed at Ibambo and Nyasa clinics. A scheme to provide dietary help to expectant mothers attending our village clinics has received generous funding from The Archer Trust and others.
