l. Welcome to the Vll]age Hall AGM. As in ptCFiOUS years it ts appropti2te to mentioft that
Cotscon)be VilIAge H2n is a Ch￿1￿ and the clutiti¢s members are the te5idenrs of
Cotscombe over the age of 18 and the N'illage Hall is twi fot the benefit of all the metnbers.
2. The V• Hall i8 by an executive management committee whosc puwse ts to
maintsin the fd]2ge Hall alld to ensure that it 15 to the benefit of its membets and part
of tbe pu4)ose of the AGM is to elect the membets of thst Cotumittee.
3. This p￿t year l)as of coutse been p2rticu]2dy challenging with vatiou81(KkdoFlls and then
attempts to reopen the hall only to be faced with another lockdow
4. At last ye2rs AGM we were beginni￿ to get back to some Lit￿ 0£ notm8b.ty only to n
into the lockdovm m December and restrictions of ooe kind OT another effecttve]y until
July of this year.
5. Althougb the VJ]]2ge H2ll could Dot be used fi)r much of the tin￿ tbere was still a
requitement to cotnpty with tnsurAnce oblgatii)Ds with iospections of the Hall 2nd
6. 1 want to agaio tccord tb2Dks to all m¢mb¢ts of the comtillttee for their efforts dwing
the year especdty to Kdym who has ensured that tbe Hall was well m2intsincd.
7. As we ￿￿e not able to deiive any income from letting the hall d￿0￿hOllt most of the
year we Iwere able to obtsin assistance in the forni grnnts and I would like to thank
Rosemary fot applying fot and 0btsintt￿ the grgnts. Rob in l)is reportTrvill touch upon this.
8. The money received b*s enabled us to tenew Some equipment induding a cooker for
the kitchen.
9. As we enjerge noTr hOpe&￿Tr to Son￿ kind of notujalkty we hxvc plat￿ta vatious evellts
and tbe first Big Breakfast for over 2 year was held at the bwing of the n)onth and will
now continue on the fitst S2turd2y in evcry mondL We also bave a C￿LstMaS Pop up
Restsutant pkn)ned fot December.

12. As I mentioned we will be looling to elect th¢ EsccutiFe Committee ]ater although I have
receii.td no norninations fot people wiJ]ing to stand and thetefote subicct to the existing
committee beillgwillmg to stsod for a fitttheryeat the extSting cotnmitteewill be re elected.

13. 1 do need to dtraw to attention the p05itÉon of the comthitte¢. The con]mittee has consisted
of onty fiF¢ ￿embers should this ttduce we will not be abk io fidtjl the requirements
of thc Charity Con]tnission and therefore ultitDatehT the Village Hall would have ro close.
14. We had planned to move th¢ AGM to the Spring to avoid cold dark evenings and thcrcfore
for 2022 the AG,M will be in about seven months timL At that ZI￿tIllg we will bave to
consmler the firture if at that time there ts nobody wjjtog to st2tt
