Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 The Society presented three concerts,
bringing the opportunity for local people
both to experience a wide range of
choral music as audience and
encourage more people to participate in
local musical activities either with the
Society or with other local groups. As in
previous years, one of these concerts
provided a platform for a local charity to
promote their activities and raise funds
while a local school is invited to
participate in at least one of the
Society’s concerts each year. An open
workshop day on Opera Choruses was
also held. The final summer concert had
to be cancelled due to the COVID crisis
but the Society started a series of online
rehearsals with a view to ensuring that
the Society is as well prepared as
possible to resume its activities in
person when the situation permits.

planned during the period in order to
restore the level of the reserves.

Para 1.22 The Society’s policy is to maintain its
