**Objects:** TO OBSERVE, TO STUDY, AND RECORD NATURAL HISTORY IN ALL ITS ASPECTS IN AND AROUND SOUTHAMPTON, AND TO PROMOTE, ORGANISE AND ENCOURAGE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE STUDY OF, AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF, KNOWLEDGE IN NATURAL HISTORY IN ALL BRANCHES.

**Activities:** Observes, studies and records natural history in all its aspects in and around Southampton and promotes, organises and ecourages the education of the public in the study of, and advancement of, knowledge in natural history in all branches. Cooperates with national and county organisations promoting conservation. Holds field meetings, lectures and exhibitions.
