## Achievements and Performance

During 2023 RMDS Performances were: 

April Thank you for the Musical (5 performances at The Barn) June Summer Choir Concerts (2 performances at Trinity Centre) July Summer Show (5 performances at Greyfriars Community Centre) October      Soiree (5 performances at The Barn) 

December   Christmas Choir Concerts (3 performances) Ellingham Church, Ringwood Parish Church and Trinity Church 

## Financial Review 

Whilst our public performances are not always intended solely to make a profit, but even with the soiree taking the Plays’ usual October half term slot, we achieved another successful year.  This was due to good audience numbers and an increase in membership from new members and an influx of returning members. We also received a very generous and unexpected anonymous donation from an existing member that enabled us to replace our ageing keyboard and for this we are exceptionally grateful.  We were able to continue our support of local charities including £1500 towards new microphones at The Barn.  This will reduce our equipment hire costs for future shows at The Barn. 

We need to be mindful of increased show production costs and increased costs for the upkeep of our Store in Verwood whilst keeping our ticket prices affordable for our audiences and still supporting our local charities. Bill to put in the financials
